EDITORIAL

For over five years, students attending 6th juniors have published a magazine that reflects not only their language competence, but also their interests.

This year, in keeping with the importance the School is giving to integrating IT and classroom activities, the students have been working on this wiki, which presented them with a new mode of expression and the opportunity to engage in collaborative writing.

And so writing becomes a purposeful activity on many levels. This wiki is written by and for teens, including topics of their choice as varied as opinion essays and recipes. Language is used for real communication and self-expression thoughout the writing process, across time and space. And the finished product is a reflex of the quality of the work done by these students with their teachers' guidance, the result of a common effort towards a common goal.

I'd like to thank the students for their dedication and creativity, and both Marcela and Constanza for the energy they've put into teaching and developing their students' IT skills. And a very special THANK YOU to Nelba, without whom this wiki would have never seen the light of day.

Get ready for a good read! Hope you enjoy it as much as I have!

The swine flue is a pandemic in all the world. It is killing lots of people. We have to be careful. It is not a joke.
There are many forms to take care of ourself. Here we have some tips:
- We should wash our hands about twenty times a day.
-You can put alcohol too when you are out of your house.
-We don't have to go to any hospital or closer places.
-If you have high temperature , bones or muscular hatch , be tired, don't dobut to call the doctor and he must go to your house , you musn't go to the hospital. It's all free. Also the medicine.
-Don't go out. It's not holidays. It's time to take concient and do the things in the right way.
-If you don't have your hands clean , don't touch your mouth, nose , and eyes. And if you have any symptoms , don't go out. You'd probably transmit the virus to another person.
If you take it at time , you can consume the medicine and you will be okay. But if you don't , you might dye.
It's dangerous becuase nobody knows what cause it, what virus. And also there isn't a vacune.
It affects more to the pregnat women and children.
In August , there might be again an increasing number of swine flue cases.
If the TV or the newspaper don't talk about this , it doesn't mean that the swine flue is over.
Please, be careful. It's about the life.

GR8 job everyone!!! Remember that you can upload any creative writing text you like. You can include stories you've written, reviews about movies, books or TV programs you enjoy (or not!). Keep it up!

Great idea !!!
I'm sure that with Nelba's help , you'll be able to get real writers for real readers from all over the world.
The other advantage is that everybody can comment everybody's production, that way, the immediate feedback will encourage them to go on working.
Congrats and good luck !!!!!

Congratulations, Nelba and the team, for a great work!
I love the idea! I really enjoyed reading the interview with Prof. Marcela Jara and what Yessica wrote about the school.
Well done!
